Interesting facts about our small and exotic mammals:
- Chinchillas, rabbits and guinea pigs should be fed a diet high in good quality grass hay and no more than a tablespoon of pellets per pet per day!
-There are implants available that can help avoid mammary tumors in rats and adrenal gland disease in ferrets
- Exotic mammals kept indoor should be provided with a UVA/UVB bulb to mimic natural daylight cycles, even if they are near a window.
